My Grandfather Virgil Roberts was an amazing man. He was a leutenant in WWII, a hardworker at Carbon Limestone in Youngstown, Ohio. and was married to my Grandmother Anna Mae for 47 years. Together they provided for and raised 4 children, fought through the steel mills closing and left a legacy for 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
His greatest legacy...
A Man of God.
A question that I've had in my heart tonite....
What Legacy do I want to leave behind?
What will be said about me when my time comes to stand before God?
Will it be how much money I made? How much I climbed the ladder of success? How well I dressed? How many friends I had??
In my heart I am longing...
May it be said of me: that I lived my life to reach the unreached, and brought Jesus to people everywhere.
Was always full of JOY.
Lived like David- danced, worship and ran with a heart after God always.
Had integrity, character, wisdom, mercy. compassion, passion and a sweetness of spirit.
Loved ALWAYS!
And thats only the beginning, only a small fraction.. I don't want to just talk about it. I want to live it!
What do you want to be said of you?
Thats really good Joelle. It is really easy to get caught up in life and miss out and fail to recognize our purpose. Something I thought about while reading was being deliberate. Deliberately sharing Jesus in every way, everyday. He is so incredible and I think if we really Live with Him as Lord our legacy will be great. <3
